Senior Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $155,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries.
• Reconcile and review various balance sheet accounts, including investments, inventory, and revenue cut-offs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial reporting standards.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
• Have at least 7+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a progressive management role.
• Demonstrate experience in public company accounting, including work with Big Four or mid-size accounting firms.
• Possess a deep understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), ASC 606, and ASC 805 compliance.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in financial activities such as consolidations, audit management, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Maintain a proven track record of overseeing accounting functions in environments of growth and change.
• Apply expertise in financial software, including Excel, Net Suite, and Blackline, to enhance efficiency.
• Lead accounting teams through digital transformation initiatives and financial system integrations.
• Communicate effectively using tact and diplomacy when working with employees, vendors, and external agencies.
• Hold a Certified Public Accountant designation to strengthen financial expertise.
