Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with our consumer product client for a Controller position. You will play a crucial role in our organization by overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. You will be responsible for GL accounting, inventory management, cost accounting, A/R, A/P, fixed assets, lease accounting, and treasury/cash management. Your hands-on approach will drive process improvements and efficiencies to support our growing business.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $200,000 to $235,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Directly manage day-to-day and monthly transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, costing, and the overall general ledger.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analyses.
• Partner with the financial reporting team to analyze the impact of new accounting guidance and support intercompany accounting.
• Lead a high-performing accounting team, ensuring key goals and outcomes are achieved through regular performance management.
• Collaborate with the technical accounting team to analyze new accounting guidance and evaluate its impact on financial statements.
• Streamline budgeting and forecasting processes by partnering with the FP&A team.

Requirements:

• Strong management and leadership skills, with a willingness to be hands-on and a thoughtful company-wide partner.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Net Suite.
• Exceptional knowledge of cost control principles, including GAAP.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and exceptional time management skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with an active CPA license.
• 12+ years of progressive experience, including a mix of public accounting and consumer industries.
• 5+ years of experience managing accounting teams.
