Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $50,000 to $68,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing financial statements and support schedules in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
• Perform variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Prepare and reconcile accounts, including supporting sub-ledgers and month-end adjusting journal entries.
• Assist in preparing audit support schedules and documentation for external auditors.

Requirements:

• Hold a CPA license, be a CPA candidate, or have CPA eligibility.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills for financial analysis.
• Show strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities to manage accounting tasks effectively.
• Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Uphold confidentiality while securing financial information and sensitive records.
• Follow accounting policies and procedures to maintain strong internal controls.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines and completing projects efficiently.
