Accounting Assistant

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join a growing finance team at a leading real estate company in downtown Los Angeles. This position supports the accounting department with day-to-day operations and ensures accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile bank statements, and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Assist with audits and compliance requirements as needed.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including data entry and filing.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; real estate industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Yardi, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
