Director of Lease Accounting

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Lease Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $170,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review lease-related financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance lease accounting efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage lease accounting systems to ensure data integrity and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with teams across Lease Administration, Finance, and Legal to ensure accurate lease accounting.
• Provide training and support on lease accounting standards and internal processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on lease accounting.
• Strong understanding of lease accounting standards, including ASC 842 and IFRS 16.
• Experience managing or auditing lease administration and accounting systems.
• Familiarity with large ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and responses.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex data sets.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for presenting financial data and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating and implementing technology solutions to streamline accounting processes.
