Job Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining vendor records.
- Manage employee expense reporting through Expensify and ensure timely reconciliation.
- Reconcile housing subsidy database and generate monthly rent checks, including adjustments as needed.
- Prepare daily cash reports, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Support financial reporting, system improvements, and audit preparation as assigned.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
- Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and agency contacts.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and provide compliance guidance to stakeholders.
- Maintain accuracy and organization in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
- Exhibit sound judgment and include appropriate stakeholders in decision-making processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including journal entry preparation.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise accounting platforms.
- Adapt to changes in duties, structure, and priorities with flexibility.
- Preferably have experience in nonprofit accounting and financial reporting systems.
