Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare tax returns for S-corporations, C-corporations, Partnerships, LLCs, Non-Profits, Trusts, and Individuals.
- Review financial records, prior tax returns, and income statements to determine required forms.
- Contact clients to request and follow up on documentation needed for tax filings.
- Analyze Quick Books files and make journal entries for business tax returns as necessary.
- Provide tax advice and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrate 2+ years of corporate tax experience in a public accounting or similar environment.
- Show proficiency in reviewing financial documents and identifying necessary tax forms.
- Apply strong attention to detail and due diligence when preparing and reviewing returns.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather and clarify financial information.
- Understand and apply current federal and state tax laws, including those related to estates.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
- Work independently and manage multiple tax engagements with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills in a deadline-driven environment.
- Utilize tax preparation software and accounting tools such as Quick Books efficiently.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data.
