CGP: Accounting manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $65.00 to $70.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Manage inventory accounting processes, including physical counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Assist with SOX implementation and collaborate with external auditors during audits.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and financial consolidations for multiple entities.

Requirements:

• Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle ERP systems and advanced Excel functions.
• Apply strong knowledge of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Utilize experience in consumer goods or CPG industry for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and present financial data to leadership.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting exposure.
• Possess expertise in US GAAP and best practices for financial reporting and internal controls.
• Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate with a positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to build strong team relationships.
