Senior Staff Accountant​/Junior Controller

Position: Senior Staff Accountant / Junior Controller
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP for internal and external stakeholders
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions, including oversight of two team members
• Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts while advising on tax-related matters

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2+ years in a senior accounting role such as Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller
• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience using Odoo ERP
• Proficiency in Quick Books and advanced Microsoft Office applications
• Background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment, including COGS tracking

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; CPA or MBA is a plus but not required
• A strong understanding of GAAP and both financial and cost accounting principles
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for cross-functional collaboration
• Demonstrated leadership during organizational transitions, promoting accountability and teamwork
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is beneficial; familiarity with mechanical engineering is a bonus
