Accounting Manager​/Assistant Controller

Position: Accounting Manager/ Assistant Controller
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $160,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform financial statement analysis and review budget-to-actual and cost variances.
• Prepare and maintain a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast and analyze variances to actuals.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements through documentation and control testing.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to monitor cost accounting systems and inventory valuation.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Show understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Exhibit experience with SOX compliance and internal control procedures.
• Use ERP systems such as Syteline, Epicor, or Net Suite, and possess intermediate Excel skills.
• Manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations accurately and on time.
• Support audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff and contribute to ERP system improvements.
