About being our Corporate Accountant

As a Corporate Accountant in our downtown Los Angeles, CA office at Psomas, you will utilize your expertise to support and assist our corporate accounting team. Duties will include general support for corporate accounting.

Responsibility Highlights for our Corporate Accountant

• Maintain accounting books and records in Vision for multiple business segments in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and reconcile monthly schedules supporting various balance sheet accounts, prepare journal entries and address any issues
• Record cash receipts and reapplications
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts, as assigned, and report outstanding checks to Accounts Payable Manager
• Manage renewal of business licenses and registrations
• Track and collect advances to employees
• Assist, when necessary, with Sales and Use Tax, Business and Occupancy Tax
• Review employee expense reports and assist with company credit card reports, as needed
• Assist as needed with the corporate accounting department operations, including data entry, filing, reconciliation and analysis

Minimum Qualifications to be our Corporate Accountant

• 1-2 years of general accounting experience
• Associates Degree or some college courses in Business and Accounting
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and tax compliance
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional, service-oriented attitude.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications for our Corporate Accountant

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Experience with business license filings

• The expected range for this position is $25.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience.
