A mid-sized company in the Valley is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for GL and operational accounting while assisting with month-end close. To be successful in this role the Senior Staff Accountant role, the candidate must be smart, independent, big-picture oriented, and be comfortable working in an outgoing people culture.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage collections primarily via email, communicating professionally and effectively with clients
• Maintain accurate records across multiple revenue channels (TV ad sales, affiliate marketing, branded video, etc.)
• Reconcile accounts and ensure entries in Net Suite reflect proper accounting treatment
• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and other team members to support monthly closes and reporting
• Provide insights into transactions, not just data entry—ensure financial activity aligns with accounting principles
• Support ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in accounting
• Advanced Excel
• Knowledge of US GAAP
