Location:
PST Remote (Target area: Southern California)
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accounting Analyst to support contract review, revenue recognition, billing, and month-end close activities. This role partners closely with FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting, billing integrity, and audit readiness.
- This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in corporate accounting who can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Review customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
- Perform month‑end close activities related to revenue recognition
- Review variance reports and validate deferred and unbilled revenue balances
- Prepare and support revenue‑related journal entries
- Process client invoices and maintain accurate supporting documentation
- Partner with FP&A to analyze revenue and forecast variances
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve billing and account reconciliation issues
- Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audit requests
- Assist with ad hoc projects, reporting, and accounting inquiries as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or equivalent experience
- Experience with billing and revenue recognition (preferred)
- Experience working in a corporate accounting environment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and cross‑functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Oracle or other large‑scale ERP systems preferred
- Prior experience in software, construction, or retail industries is a plus
- This role pays a fixed rate of $35.00 per hour. All candidates submitted and hired for this role will be compensated at this rate.
