Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

A growing commercial real estate owner/operator is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a portfolio of retail and mixed-use properties. This position will oversee accounting operations, manage third-party accounting providers, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner closely with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.

• Oversee all accounting operations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Review and audit financial statements prepared by third-party property accountants
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Oversee audits, tax coordination, and lender reporting requirements
• Lead and develop the accounting team
• Partner with executives on financial strategy, acquisitions, and portfolio performance

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong understanding of property accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience
