The Senior Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role manages general ledger activities, prepares and reviews journal entries, reconciles accounts, and supports month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will produce and analyze financial statements, assist with cash management, and coordinate with internal teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

The role also includes maintaining compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits and tax filings, and improving accounting procedures and controls. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with finance and lending teams to provide timely, high-quality financial information that supports decision-making.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including GAAP, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems specifically Netsuite and Quickbooks and advanced Excel skills.
• Background in financial services, commercial real estate, or lending environment is highly beneficial.
• Ability to interpret complex transactions, maintain detailed documentation, and support audits and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
