Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Controls Manager to support data center and mission critical capital programs. This primarily remote role will manage cost controls across tenant fit-outs, retrofits, technology modernization, connectivity projects, and ground-up construction. The ideal candidate can deliver accurate financial insight, identify risks early, and support informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. Role accountabilities:
• Manage budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, cash flow, accruals, work-in-place, and estimate-at-completion reporting.

• Review contractor and vendor invoices, payment applications, change orders, labor and unit rates, markups, and supporting documentation.

• Maintain cost risk registers, monitor mitigation actions, and escalate budget or forecast concerns.

• Prepare monthly cost reports, variance explanations, executive summaries, and ad hoc financial analyses.

• Ensure data accuracy across project controls, finance, procurement, and reporting systems.

• Support purchase orders, contract administration, compliance documentation, audit readiness, and financial closeout.

• Partner with construction, project controls, finance, procurement, estimating, scheduling, and delivery teams to resolve cost issues. Qualifications &

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Business, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in construction cost controls, project controls, cost management, commercial management, or capital project delivery.

• Experience supporting complex construction programs, preferably within data centers, mission critical facilities, industrial, technology, or infrastructure environments.

• Strong knowledge of forecasting, cash flow, change management, invoice review, accruals, purchase orders, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

• Advanced Excel and analytical skills, paired with strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, systems, workflows, and deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with tenant fit-outs, retrofits, technology modernization, connectivity projects, or ground-up data center construction.

• Familiarity with Unifier, eBuilder, Procore, Power BI, Tableau, Primavera P6, Oracle, SAP, or similar PMIS and ERP systems.

• Professional certification such as CCP, CEP, PSP, PMP, MRICS, CCM, or another AACE credential.
