Accounting Manager - Real Estate Investments

Our client, a growing real estate private equity investment firm in Los Angeles, is looking to add an Accounting Manager /Assistant Controller to its team.

The role offers a unique mix of real estate accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, and acquisition-related work
, with significant exposure to investment and asset management teams.

The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, a solid understanding of real estate investments, and enjoys working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment.

• Oversee monthly and quarterly accounting closes, including reconciliations, accruals, consolidations, and financial reporting
• Review financial statements at the property, investment entity, and fund levels.
• Coordinate with property accounting teams, fund administrators, and third‑party accounting providers.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting, and investment‑level funding requirements.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and portfolio‑level financial reports.
• Partner with investment and asset management teams on property performance, investment returns, and financing activities.
• Support real estate acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and joint venture transactions.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax reporting, and related compliance requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 6–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• Experience with in real estate private equity, real estate investment management, or similar.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, multi‑entity accounting, and real estate financial reporting.
• Exposure to property‑level and fund‑level accounting.
