Are you an Accounts Receivable professional with experience in legal billing and collections
? An established organization in Woodland Hills, CA is looking for an experienced AR Clerk to join its accounting team in a temp-to-hire capacity.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident managing outstanding balances, working directly with clients on collections, and partnering with internal teams to resolve billing issues.
What You'll Do:Manage accounts receivable and monitor outstanding balances and aging.
Follow up on past-due invoices and client accounts.
Contact clients professionally regarding payments, balances, and billing questions.
Research billing discrepancies and resolve account issues.
Work with attorneys and accounting/billing personnel on invoice and payment questions.
Track payment arrangements and promised payments.
Process or assist with billing adjustments, credits, write-offs, and account corrections.
Reconcile accounts and resolve unapplied payments.
Assist with month-end close and AR reporting.
Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting/billing systems.
Maintain accurate and confidential financial records.
2+ years of AR, collections, legal billing, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
Law firm experience strongly preferred.
Legal billing and collections experience highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of AR aging, payment application, reconciliations, and collections.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
Law firm accounting or billing.
Legal billing/accounting software.
Client ledgers and aged receivables.
Trust or retainer account records.
Microsoft Access.
$28.00-$32.00 per hour
Temp-to-hire
Benefits may be available during the temporary assignment based on eligibility.

Pay Details:$28.00 to $32.00 per hour
