Customer Job Search (CJS) Service Clerk
RESPONSIBILITIESThe CJS Service Clerk reports to the Program Administrator, working directly interfacing with customers and provides assistance to the customer enrollment and service process. Assists with Cal Jobs/ITrain/EPIC entry, internet job search, routes, and schedules customers to appropriate next steps. Assists in the entry, collection and compilation of customer data, records, sign-in‑logs, maintains and distributes manually and electronically program information, referral and resources.
CJS Service Clerk provides support/assistance to Project Specialist and teams: job search functions, outreach, enrollment, phone and electronic customer service, and frontline communication with job seekers, partner agencies, business and other stakeholders. Maintain customer records, activities, enter updates, progress, reviews electronic data, processes and file source documents and participant related service records. CJS Service Clerk assists in community outreach, special events and job development service functions.
Assist in maintenance of Career Resource Center, Lab and workshop areas. Also, maintains current participant resource information and referral, training activities; paper and electronic materials. Promotes and ensures customer satisfaction is demonstrated throughout the Center at all service levels and events. Conducts related activities as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and Two years customer service-clerical work experience.
- Strong computer software data entry experience, good communication and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of staffing support, internet search, data spreadsheets, data formula‑reports etc.
- Good command of the English language and second language a plus.
- Must have a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California Driver's License.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test and a criminal background check as a pre‑condition for employment.
- Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster.
- Must provide recent TB test.
