The Express Lube Technician services vehicles by rotating tires, performing multi-point inspections, and changing automotive fluids, following all established standards and procedures. Responsibilities include checking oil, tire pressure and condition, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. The goal is to deliver high-quality service while maintaining customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience. Automotive training or repair experience is a plus. Must have an unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, and physical dexterity. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a positive attitude, professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to customer service is essential.

State-certified inspectors are a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring timely oil and filter changes for customer satisfaction.
  • Checking and topping off or replacing fluids and filters/parts as needed.
  • Performing routine inspections and standard maintenance jobs.
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness during service.
  • Completing documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Following shop policies, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Maintaining shop appearance and safety standards, managing inventory, and performing general duties.
  • Attending staff meetings, training, and educational sessions.
  • Performing diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting.
  • Keeping the shop organized and neat.
  • Communicating with service advisors about work status and estimated completion times.
  • Continuously updating technical knowledge through training.
  • Demonstrating company values in all interactions.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • No experience is necessary; entry-level position willing to learn. One year of relevant experience is preferred. Knowledge of automotive servicing is highly desired. Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to drive both automatic and standard vehicles. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills are required. Must be safety and customer service oriented, physically capable of bending, kneeling, squatting, standing, and lifting heavy objects.

    Certification as a state inspector is a plus. Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic, with a keen interest in automotive work and self-motivation.
