We’re hiring a Business Development Associate to join our Energy Storage and Solar team. You'll focus on identifying new business through direct outreach, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue within a defined vertical. This role is well-suited for someone who’s persistent, curious, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where solutions aren’t always obvious.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek new business through prospecting, cold calling, and other methods of outreach
- Qualify leads and conduct market research to identify potential customers
- Serve as an integral part of the sales process, maintaining a pipeline of leads while tracking ongoing deals within a CRM software
- Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships
- Generate quotes and proposals which are accurate to the scope of each project
- Work with clients to understand their unique pain points and creatively outline custom solutions based on Bluewater’s services
- Become a subject matter expert in the solar and energy storage industry
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that the pricing, services agreed upon, and terms of agreement are favorable to each party involved
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 0-3+ years of experience in sales
- Sales training and CRM experience are a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and diligent with a self-motivated approach to business development
- Strong organizational and project management skillset
- Willingness to travel to industry trade shows and events
- Results-driven with a passion for achieving ambitious sales targets
