PE Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is a strategic and operational team that specializes in portfolio and project management. It leads and delivers high‑impact initiatives, such as mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, and surge events, to drive integration, sequencing, and consistency across the PE organization.
Responsibilities- Participate in multiple deal phases from diligence through integration by:
- Supporting the preparation of draft materials (deal strategy, implementation plans, Day 1 plans, Post‑Close Integration Plans) and seeking input from senior team members.
- Attending internal and external meetings (management calls, diligence touchpoints) and capturing action items.
- Maintaining integration project plans, monitoring risks, and escalating issues for resolution.
- Updating the M&A Playbook with best practices and HR considerations.
- Collaborating cross‑functionally with PE COEs, Corporate Development, Legal, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Data responsibilities:
- Partnering with Corporate Development, Legal, or other PE COEs to build financial or employee models.
- Reconciling operational and deal‑related data from multiple sources (Legal, Finance, Talent) for integrated reporting.
- Assisting with data analysis, dashboards, and reports that provide deal insights.
- Support surge projects by documenting progress against milestones and ensuring deliverables align with strategic goals.
- Individual contributor, reporting to the PMO leader; hybrid work model.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; 3+ years experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Private Equity, Strategy Consulting, or similar (or equivalent education/experience). Knowledge of HR is a plus.
- Strong data analysis skills in Google Sheets or MS Excel; experience with headcount, severance, or deal models. Proficiency with Airtable, Power
BI, or Tableau is a plus. - Ability to develop presentations for senior leadership using Google Slides or MS PowerPoint.
- Prior exposure to M&A or restructuring projects is desirable.
- Experience supporting deal execution through organization, documentation, and follow‑up on deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple responsibilities and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working with multi‑stakeholder teams and collaborating across functions.
- Effective written and verbal communication; can break down complex concepts for diverse audiences.
The following ranges reflect expected pay for this role in the specified locations:
- British Columbia (Vancouver or Victoria) – $91,100 – $126,900 CAD
- California (Los Angeles or San Francisco) – $101,700 – $151,900 USD
