Position: Construction Bookkeeper

Reports To: General Manager

Description

Paul Davis is an industry leader in restoration and reconstruction for insurance providers and commercial properties across the United States and Canada. The Construction Bookkeeper plays a pivotal role in managing job costing, accounting, and daily operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support the franchise’s growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of job costing within RMS and Quick Books accounting software.
  • Manage the daily operations of the franchise when the owner is not available.
  • Maintain all accounting, computer, and financial records for the franchise in collaboration with a CPA.
  • Provide empathetic, urgent communication through modern technology.
  • Establish rapport with insurance carriers, customers, vendors, subcontractors advertisement, adjusters, agents, and fellow employees.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company’s brand.
  • Assist other team members and foster positive interdepartmental relationships.
  • Collect information, use strong listening and communication skills, ask questions, and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problems.
  • Request and maintain updated workplace safety certificates and insurance coverage for subcontractors.
  • Enter timesheets and process payroll.
