BASIC PURPOSE

A hands‑on and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to manage onsite construction activities for alternative fuel infrastructure projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for on-site management, coordination, and execution of projects including CNG, RNG, Hydrogen fueling stations, and EV charging infrastructure. This role includes self-performing some mechanical and electrical work onsite. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, practical knowledge of civil, electrical, and mechanical scopes, and the ability to drive high-quality, safe project execution under tight timelines.

MAJOR

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage daily site construction activities through project, ensuring adherence to plans, schedule, and safety protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate all field activities, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain construction quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve site issues and maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant jobsite with emphasis on safe work practices.
  • Self-perform some mechanical and electrical work with the support of other internal staff.
  • Perform field-level QA/QC inspections of civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
  • Track progress, update project schedules, and report regularly on-site conditions and issues.
  • Review construction drawings, provide layout guidance, and identify field discrepancies early.
  • Assist with startup and commissioning activities, ensuring systems are built to spec and functional.
  • Provide as-built marked up drawings to the engineers.
  • Work with internal compliance teams to gather required documentation from sub-contractors and vendors.
  • Travel frequently to project sites across the U.S., sometimes for extended periods. Requires up to 95% travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Education:

    HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in site supervision or field management, preferably in fuel infrastructure or utility‑scale construction.
    • Experience with alternative fuels projects (CNG, RNG, Hydrogen, EV) strongly preferred.
    • Experience with civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes in fueling station construction.
    • Experience in reading blueprints and construction documents.
  • OSHA 30 certification required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Skills:
    • MS Office required; basic accounting, ability to interpret architectural plans, knowledge of construction processes or procedures, construction project management software solutions.
    • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines, strong work ethic, good written and verbal communication, flexibility to adapt to new situations or challenges, must work well under moderate stress and as a team.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
