ICC Building Inspector

Transtech Engineers, Inc. is requesting resumes for Building Inspectors for full‑time or part‑time positions. This position requires that the Inspector is able to commute within the different regions of the Santa Barbara area. The qualified candidate will be working under the direct supervision of the Building Official or the Supervising Building Inspector. The Building Inspector should be knowledgeable in all areas of Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and other related codes.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of residential, industrial, and commercial properties to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to document findings clearly and accurately are essential. An active ICC (International Code Council) certification is required for this position.

This position is open to candidates located in the Santa Barbra area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $70.00 per hour

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Building Inspector in a jurisdiction
• Current ICC (International Code Council) Certification
• Ability to maintain a valid CA Class “C” Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Experience in building construction, architecture, or engineering work involving knowledge of building codes is a plus
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
