Channel: Learn with Shopify is a tech/entrepreneur You Tube channel with 800K+ subscribers in the ecommerce space.

We’re seeking a dynamic on-camera host and writer to bring energy, clarity, and personality to a platform at the intersection of commerce, tech, and culture. In this role, you’ll anchor explainers, interviews, and product or trend segments — creating engaging, educational content that makes complex ideas feel effortless and exciting for a global audience. You’ll help co-write scripts, and deliver confident, natural performances both on and off teleprompter.

This is a collaborative, in-studio role based in Van Nuys, working closely with a world-class creative team to shape stories that inform and inspire our You Tube audience.

The ideal candidate has on-camera experience and a proven ability to engage, and grow, an audience or community within their field. A social following is a plus, but not required — what matters is a track record of creating content that connects, whether through video and writing on platforms like You Tube, Linked In, Substack, or a newsletter. A background in tech, marketing, AI, or entrepreneurship is preferred, especially for someone transitioning from a corporate or startup role into the creator space.

You’re articulate, curious, and digitally fluent — able to make complex ideas accessible, engaging, and relatable to a broad audience.

• Deliver a conversational, intelligent, and personable performance
• Read a teleprompter naturally and stay composed on screen
• Write scripts, research topics, pitch timely story ideas, receive feedback, and make edits
• Capture relevant screen recordings (e.g., Shopify, backend tools, or other featured apps) to accompany your script and provide all visual assets to post-production
• Translate AI/tech/ecommerce news clearly and accurately
• Engage a broad audience while maintaining credibility

• Marketing background or entrepreneurial experience (founder/operator/early team)
• AI-literate and on top of industry news; strong analytical and communication skills
• Camera-ready, well-spoken; comfortable improvising beyond the script
• Bonus: hands-on experience operating or contributing to a modern ecommerce storefront (owner, user, or team member)
