Overview About this Position:The Digital Media Planner ensures client-approved media plans are executed accurately and on time, working closely with the Assistant Media Planner to keep projects running smoothly. They stay on top of digital media planning — from display and social to programmatic — and bring bonus experience in broadcast, print, or out-of-home. Proactive and curious, they anticipate shifts in consumer behavior and media trends to keep our plans ahead of the curve.
What You’ll Do:- Media planning and buying (IE - research, presentations, etc.)
- Utilize applicable media research tools including Nielsen, Com Score, Ad Relevance, etc.
- Develop, negotiate, and create cost efficient media plans with partners
- Manage ongoing management of media campaigns including analyzing, negotiating, and recommending plan optimizations
- Collaborate with Ad Operations, Account Management, and Production teams to ensure all media and creative campaign elements are delivered by the designated deadlines and running as planned
- Implement client approved media and creative elements in conjunction with the Assistant Media Planner, traffic coordinator, and third party ad server
- Work with Analytics and Ad Operations teams to set up tagging of new web pages and to optimize current media plans
- Attend industry rep meetings and provide written POVs to senior team members
- Manage digital media financials (flowcharts, billing discrepancies, billing insertions)
- Use appropriate tools to analyze, understand, and report on the fluctuating media landscape
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of experience in Digital media or Media Planning preferred. Excellent understanding of the digital media landscape (publishers, navigation) and general knowledge of emerging digital media technologies (programmatic, mobile, video) is required.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience with media tools like DFA, Media Visor, and DCM (or equivalent programs)
- Knowledge of Donovan Media Ocean (OX) billing systems
- Well versed in a variety of media research tools including Nielsen, Com Score, Ad Relevance, Kantar, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and work with various publisher contacts while balancing client requests and prioritizing projects
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Confidence in your media knowledge and ability to show up confidently when working directly with clients
