Associate Technical Designer - Denim

An established LA-based denim company is hiring an Associate
Technical Designer to help bring women’s denim collections to life. This role focuses on ensuring every style fits flawlessly, looks great, and meets brand quality standards. You’ll be part of a close-knit product team that values precision, teamwork, and a hands‑on approach to product creation.

• Partner with design and production to translate creative concepts into accurate technical specs
• Review samples for fit, construction, and wash consistency from first proto to final approval
• Take detailed garment measurements, evaluate fit results, and create clear revision notes for vendors
• Prepare and maintain technical packages including sketches, callouts, and measurement charts
• Attend and document fit sessions, collaborating with cross‑functional partners to resolve issues quickly
• Track style development progress and ensure deadlines are met for each season
• Communicate directly with factories and vendors to ensure clear understanding of fit and finish requirements

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in technical design or garment engineering (denim experience strongly preferred)
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel
• Solid understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and grading
• Excellent communication and organization skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast‑moving environment
• Knowledge of sustainable denim processes is a plus
• Must be able to work onsite
