The Los Angeles Master Chorale is expanding the Voices Within Teaching Artist pool and seeks creative, student‑centered artists to train for future residencies. We are recruiting Singer‑Lead, Composer, and Lyricist Teaching Artists passionate about arts education and eager معامل to work with fifth‑grade students in our 10‑week in‑school program.

Selected candidates will complete approximately 37–40 hours of training, including a four‑day training event from Feb 9–12 2026 at the Music Center (or ebenso nearby) and in‑classroom observations of current Voices Within teaching artists throughout the 12‑week residency from mid‑February to mid‑May. After the observation period, candidates will be evaluated for readiness to join the active pool of teaching artists. All selected candidates must complete a background check before classroom observations or residency activities.

Training compensation is $30 hourly. Positions are seasonal and on‑call. The Chorale programs four residencies per academic year. Applicants must be local and available for all training dates and in‑school residency times.

Voices Within is the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s award‑winning artist residency program for fifth‑grade students. Over a 12‑week period, students collaborate with a Composer, Lyricist, and Singer‑Lead Teaching Artist to write original lyrics and melodies, culminating in a live performance with a chamber ensemble of Master Chorale singers. The program integrates Common Core State Standards and blends music composition, writing, improvisation, and creative collaboration.
