Overview
Ken Fulk Inc. is seeking several designer positions with a minimum of 5-10 years of professional interior design experience for our San Francisco studio.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- 5+ years of experience as an interior designer.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software, InDesign, Photoshop, and the Microsoft Suite; experience in Sketchup, 3D and AI is a bonus.
- Proficiency in understanding and working with construction documents and details.
- General understanding of construction administration and building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- High level drafting skills.
- Proficiency in purchasing processes.
- Strong sense of organization and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with various design teams and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of successfully working in a fast-paced environment.
- Hospitality and Residential experience is required.
- Partner with and/or lead as senior designer in managing interior design projects from concept to completion.
- Contribute to all phases of the design process: programming, conceptual design, design development, purchasing and production, project management, and installation.
- Source FF&E, artwork, and design custom pieces.
- Work with vendors and artists to keep projects running smoothly and on time.
- Contribute to the studio in a way that pushes us to constantly elevate and expand our work.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations, including 2D renderings, mood boards, material samples and coordination of 3D renderings.
- Prepare and deliver project budgets, schedules.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review construction documents, including plans, elevations, and details, for accuracy and compliance with design intent.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals.
- Mentor and provide guidance to design assistants on design concepts, technical details, and project management.
