Position:Senior/Intermediate Designer
We have an immediate opening for a Project Designer with strong experience in K–12 educational, multifamily affordable housing, and community‑centered projects, especially those involving public agencies.
We’re looking for someone who is self‑motivated, analytical, and a collaborative problem‑solver—an individual who communicates clearly, contributes proactively, and brings a deep commitment to design and construction quality and sustainability.
The ideal candidate has experience producing and coordinating construction documents, resolving detailing, and supporting construction administration. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit is required. Experience with DSA processes is a must, and experience with other regulatory agencies is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications- Professional degree in architecture
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a high‑quality architectural firm in California
- Proven leadership and coordination skills across all project phases—from concept design through construction administration
- Strong understanding of sustainable and energy‑efficient design principles, along with construction materials, methods, and building systems
- Direct construction administration experience, including:
- Responding to RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings
- Attending site meetings and inspections
- Managing schedules, field memos, and contractor coordination
- Experience leading building permit approvals and acting as primary contact with building officials
- DSA experience is required, with prior work for school districts such as LAUSD or PUSD
- Working knowledge of CBC Chapters 11A & 11B and accessible design standards
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with tax‑credit affordable housing projects (LIHTC) is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. SLO is not able to sponsor H‑1B visas.
- English fluency required
