Architectural Captain

Harrison Design is seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Job Captain with 3–5 years of experience to join our Los Angeles team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for high‑end residential architecture and a desire to build a long‑term career as part of our team. You’ll be involved in multiple projects from conceptual design through construction observation, with a focus on producing detailed construction documents and coordinating across disciplines.

You’ll support project managers in all phases of design & documentation and manage junior team members.

• Lead the design and production of permit & construction documents
• Manage & oversee junior team members
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent is executed
• Develop 3D models and visualizations
• Coordinate project documentation
• Participate in client meetings and site visits
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the design process

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in architectural design
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and detailing
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in‑person and manage local travel as needed
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (Sketch‑Up and Lumion preferred), Excel, and the Adobe Creative Suite
