Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Architect (3-5 Years of Experience)

We are seeking an energetic, passionate architect with 3-5 years of experience in luxury residential design to join our Los Angeles studio. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects across our practice and join a team of dedicated, talented designers who value kindness as much as creative ambition.

We have the pleasure of working with sophisticated, interesting clients on projects that vary in size and scope with a strong emphasis on careful detailing. You will also have the chance to participate in select executive architecture commissions with esteemed partners such as John Pawson, Foster + Partners, and Ferguson & Shamamian. You will work on projects from concept through construction, supporting the seamless translation of design vision into built reality.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to all phases of design and construction in close collaboration with the studio team
  • Produce drawings, presentations, and construction documents that express design intent clearly and precisely
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and fabricators, ensuring accuracy and quality at each stage
  • Research new materials, products, and technologies that advance project design and execution
  • Participate in weekly pin-ups and collaborative discussions, helping to elevate both your work and the collective studio output
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in luxury residential architecture
  • Proactive, curious, detail-oriented, and resourceful with a strong desire to grow creatively and technically through hands‑on project involvement
  • Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Fluency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Revit required; familiarity with Rhino, Autodesk ACC/BIM
360, Morpholio, Enscape, Twin Motion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam a plus
Why KOVAC
  • Join a team of 25 diverse, international staff members who bring a broad range of experiences, interests, and expertise – and who often become friends for life
  • Your growth will be fostered through mentorship, collaboration, and spirited discussion in an open studio environment
  • Enjoy a hybrid remote/in-office schedule, competitive benefits package, and a balanced approach to work and life
  • Contribute to award‑winning architecture shaped by three decades of thoughtful design and craftsmanship
The Impact You’ll Make

From your first day, expect to jump into projects that challenge and inspire. If you love the craft of building, thrive on collaboration, and are eager to learn and expand your skillset, you’ll find opportunities to grow and make a lasting impact here.
