Job Summary

Lahmon Architects is seeking an Architect with experience in multi-family and mixed‑use housing to join our team in Torrance, CA. As a key member, you will oversee projects from design through move‑in and project close, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to established office standards. The role also includes opportunities for growth into senior project management and job captain positions.

• Strong design abilities that meet the firm’s approach and mission
• Translate program requirements into a sensible concept design
• Ensure accuracy of design documents and compliance with client expectations and code requirements
• Schedule and staff projects, determine deliverables, and ensure timely submittals
• Act as the primary decision maker for design execution, considering constructability, detailing, and intent maintenance
• Ensure documentation meets design intent and office standards, facilitating proper execution by the GC
• Provide direction/mark‑ups to team documents
• Coordinate consultant meetings and produce meeting minutes
• Support agency approval processes and resolve complex situations
• Mentor and develop designers within the team
• Maintain portfolios, graphics, organization, and communication skills
• Demonstrate commitment, integrity, and construction detailing abilities
• Work independently and collaboratively within project teams
• Proficient in Revit, MS Excel, MS Word
• Experience with LA City agencies and implementation of zoning, planning, and building codes
• Knowledge of CTCAC, LACDA, LAHCID funding requirements and processes (desired)
• Licensed Architect in California preferred (but not required)

• 7+ years of experience in multi‑family and mixed‑use housing, especially in Los Angeles County
• Strong portfolio reflecting vision, eye for detail, and graphic skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and mentoring abilities
• Commitment to integrity with clients and co‑workers
• High level of construction detailing expertise
• Proficiency in Revit, MS Excel, MS Word
• Experience with LA City agencies and zoning/planning/building codes
• Knowledge of CTCAC, LACDA, LAHCID funding requirements (desired)
• Licensed Architect in California preferred (but not required)

Salary: $85,000 – $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skill. Full‑time position with comprehensive benefits: 100% employer contribution to health insurance, dental and vision contributions, 401(k) matching, and profit sharing.
