The Senior Designer – Men’s will work closely with the Creative Director to design and develop men’s apparel collections from concept through production, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and market trends. This full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area will involve researching seasonal trends, creating mood boards, sketching designs, and developing cohesive assortments across categories. The person in this role will collaborate closely with merchandising, product development, technical design, and production teams to finalize fabrics, trims, fits, and construction details.

Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining design packs, overseeing color and print direction, reviewing samples and fittings, and making adjustments to meet quality and cost objectives. The Senior Designer – Men’s will also partner with leadership to refine brand strategy within the men’s segment and support presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Demonstrated expertise in men’s apparel design, including concept development, sketching, and building cohesive seasonal collections.
• Strong understanding of fabrications, washes, trims, fit, and garment construction, especially for denim, casual sportswear, and lifestyle categories.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and digital presentation formats.
• Experience conducting market, trend, and consumer research and translating insights into commercially relevant product.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with merchandising, technical design, sourcing, and production teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills for presenting concepts and collections to cross-functional teams and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Several years of progressive experience in men’s fashion design, preferably within branded or private label businesses.
• Experience designing for wholesale, private label, branded, or multi-retailer apparel environments strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with overseas factories, sourcing teams, and development partners.
• Strong understanding of costing and the ability to design creatively within target price and margin requirements.
• Ability to translate trends into commercial, sellable product appropriate for different customers and channels.
• Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail combined with a commercial and customer-focused mindset.
