The Department of Radiological Sciences at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is recruiting a full‑time attending physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Series. Depending on training and preference, selected individuals will serve exclusively in the Oncology Imaging Section or jointly in the Oncology Imaging and Abdominal Imaging Sections. Titles in this series are assigned to academically qualified individuals who are in full‑time service of the University, provide excellent teaching and clinical services, and engage in creative academic activities.
Candidates must hold an M.D. degree, be eligible for California licensure and be boarded or board‑eligible by the American Board of Radiology. Candidates must also have completed a body, abdominal, or equivalent radiology fellowship.
Candidates must possess excellent radiology skills in all facets of Abdominal and Oncologic Imaging, in particular CT, PET/CT and MRI. Experience and interest in oncology clinical trials and in treatment response assessment, whole‑body MRI, and MRI/PET are viewed favorably, as is dual boarding in Nuclear Medicine.
The Department of Radiological Sciences provides comprehensive, state‑of‑the‑art imaging, consultation, and interventional services across four hospitals and more than twenty‑five outpatient sites. Photon counting CT and MR PET machines have recently been installed. The Department is well‑integrated in the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Departments of Urology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Medicine, Surgery and others.
