Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Have a growth mindset and love of learning
  • Have strong content knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and the capacity to plan and deliver instruction to meet the needs of students
  • Display a relentless commitment to and high standards for high‑quality execution
  • Are passionate and demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility towards ambitious goals

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Will need to pass a TB test and background check at time of offer
Credential/License Requirements
  • Possess (or will possess by July 2026) a valid California Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject or Single Subject credential in Foundational Science or Biology
  • Eligible for a California Single Subject Intern credential in Foundational Science or Biology (candidate must earn an Intern credential by July 2026)
  • Eligible for a Short‑Term Staff Permit or Provisional Internship Permit, AND have a valid CPR certification that meets AHA or American Red Cross standards
  • Notes for Multiple Subject Credential Holders:
    If you hold only a Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject credential, you need a minimum of 12 post‑secondary semester units in Science courses
  • We cannot hire teachers with a Multiple Subject Intern credential
Compensation – Salary
  • For credentialed teachers: $71,085 – $127,985, depending on education and experience
  • For aspiring teachers without credentials: $62,316 – $63,866
