Adjunct - AY26 Japanese Instructor
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidate for a part-time Adjunct Japanese Instructor position.
The LACCD is the largest community college district in the United States and one of the largest in the world, with nine colleges serving over 40 cities in Southern California. The district offers instruction to 225,000 students annually in 600 associate's degree and 400 certificate of achievement programs.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in Japanese OR Bachelor's degree in Japanese AND Master's degree in another language or linguistics OR the equivalent.
- A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
The adjunct instructor should be prepared to teach a range of courses within the Japanese discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
CompensationThe salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments.
