We are hiring for our Los Angeles site and Long Beach site
The Infant Preschool Teacher provides nurturing care and age-appropriate educational experiences for infants (12 to 24 months). This role fosters a warm, engaging environment that supports early developmental milestones and complies with NAEYC standards and ITERS expectations.
Primary Responsibilities- Deliver nurturing, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and individualized support.
- Plan and implement Creative Curriculum®-based activities that promote development.
- Complete DRDP and ASQ assessments and maintain documentation.
- Maintain an ITERS-compliant environment at all times.
- Communicate daily updates through Learning Genie.
- Sanitize and disinfect classroom materials and surfaces daily.
- Comply with all Title 22, Title 5, and CACFP regulations.
- Participate in professional development, in-service training, and apply best practices.
- Maintain respectful communication with children, families, and staff.
- Minimum 12 ECE units including Infant/Toddler development.
- Must obtain an ECE Permit within 90 days of employment.
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Must complete and maintain Mandated Reporter Child Abuse Training Certificate.
- TB test and immunizations for Tdap and MMR required; flu shot is optional.
- Must attend and complete all assigned in-service trainings.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Requires bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, and sitting on the floor.
- Must respond quickly in emergencies and ensure child safety at all times.
- As a NAEYC-aligned program, professional code of conduct and ethical behavior are expected at all times.
- Staff are expected to uphold the values of Little Scholars Academy with consistency and care.
- Perform any duties as assigned by the Site Director and Administration, including supporting other classrooms, participating in events, and assisting with program operations as needed.
