Position Overview You will be responsible for teaching students with learning disabilities or physical mental or emotional challenges by assessing individual needs developing individualized education plans IEPs adapting curriculum delivering instruction using specialized teaching methods monitoring student progress and collaborating with parents and other teammates to ensure each student reaches their full potential within the classroom environment This role is an exciting opportunity for teachers who believe deeply that all students can and must achieve at high levels and who are hungry to grow as people and professionals in a collaborative results oriented environment This is a full time exempt role that reports to the principal

What Youll Do Support teachers in implementing best in class instructional practices Coordinate and implement small group instruction for students with disabilities in accordance with their IEPs Manage the delivery of special education services and supports Modify curriculum to meet individual student needs Regularly track student mastery and goal attainment through data collection systems and prioritize highest leverage data to adapt and improve instruction on an ongoing basis Provide students with clear actionable feedback to drive continuous growth Lead special education case management and compliance Provide overall case management including assessing students individual learning needs Develop appropriate IEPs and collaborate with general education teachers and the special education team to ensure that all special education related laws and timelines are adhered to with 100 fidelity Build transformative relationships with students and families Support students in meeting yearly promotion requirements through social emotional support guided reflection and one on one conferences Advocate for student access to the resources and supports they need Keep families engaged in their childs progress and collaborate on their education Create and maintain a caring and accountable student culture Implement clear consistent logical class structures routines and expectations aligned with our student culture model Foster a sense of community through relationship building among students Hold consistently high expectations for all students and support students to meet them Create a sense of urgency optimism and engagement amongst students Contribute positively to the team Build positive relationships with your teammates Lean into your vulnerability as a means of building trust Actively engage in difficult conversations and debate to ensure the best ideas surface Drive for clarity in decision making Seek implement and offer feedback necessary for individual and team growth Commit to collective results Who Youll Be Mission driven professional passionate about increasing college attainment for historically under represented students Social justice champion committed to promoting educational opportunity for all students and families Entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a workplace characterized by autonomy flexibility transparency and accountability Collaborative team player who works well with others from diverse backgrounds uplifts and celebrates our teammates and engages in healthy debate and conflict to get the best results for students and families Resourceful persistent leader and learner constantly seeking to find a way or make one to master your craft and improve results Were Looking For Bachelors degree required A California Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential preferred;
