We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as Special Education Aide in the San Pedro, CA area.
Aptus will provide the tools, technology, and support necessary for your success and growth.
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Location: San Pedro, CA 90731
Schedule: Full Time (School Operating Hours)
Setting: High School

- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 60 college units or an AA/AS degree is preferred
- Familiarity with Google Workspace tools to support classroom activities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable Transportation
- Provide one-on-one support to assigned student/s with diverse learning needs, including academic assistance and/or physical support as required.
- Monitor and verify the completion of homework and any missing assignments.
- Maintain a proactive and confident approach when addressing student needs and challenges.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during classroom activities and transitions.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other staff to coordinate support for students.
- Foster a gentle and supportive environment for students to encourage positive behavior.
- Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date records of student progress and academic performance.
- Attend meetings and training, as scheduled
- Performs related tasks as required.
