Field Services Engineer​/Field Service Technician

Founded in 2021, OTEK Group, Inc. (OTEK) is a fast-growing renewable energy service provider that specializes in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sub-sector of the broader power grid energy transition.

Location: Projects are around Texas and other states, so technicians must be willing to travel as needed

Type: Contractor

Salary: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

The most qualified candidates will have transformer testing, maintenance and repair experience

• Install, commission, and maintenance BESS / HVAC/ Inverter systems at customer sites.
• Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule and guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and end-users as needed.
• Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions, accurately and comprehensively.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all service activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) year of experiences in BESS / HVAC repair, troubleshooting and maintenance or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
• Ability to weld (stick welding) is preferred
• OSHA 10 / 30 and NFPA 70e certifications must have
• HVAC license is preferred
• Ability to read, speak and write in English
• STEM Associate , Bachelor's or equivalent
• Must have valid driver's license and work authorization in the U.S.
