Project Manager

Overview

Ontic is a global aerospace OEM specializing in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. The Chatsworth, CA site employs over 1,400 people across multiple sites and time zones. We are seeking a Project Manager to join the team onsite in Chatsworth, CA. You will report to the Director, PMO.

• Lead transition teams and drive assigned project-related activities (internally and externally) toward achieving scope, schedule, quality, and financial objectives.
• Participate in pre-award evaluations of potential business development opportunities.
• Own and manage projects from initial approach through closure and hand-off to functional departments, including planning, scheduling, integration, tracking, coordination, communication, financial/resource control, risk management, and reporting.
• Participate in licensor relationship management during the transfer process.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing departmental processes.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of program/project management experience in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing.
• A PMP or similar certification is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with schedule management software such as Microsoft Project.
• Ability to travel approximately 15-20% of the time as determined by project requirements.

$120,000 - $130,000/year, based on experience
