We are looking for you to join our team as a Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Systems Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.
What You’ll Get To DoIn this role, you will work with the Chief Mission Architect and peer MS&A Systems Engineers in collaborative small team environments to conduct research and analysis, develop models and simulations, and develop and implement algorithms.
Roles & Responsibilities- Design and develop complex models and simulations for inertial navigation systems to predict system performance and support design decisions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of system performance using simulation tools to identify potential improvements and ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop and implement algorithms for inertial navigation systems, ensuring they meet performance and reliability standards.
- Analyze simulation data to validate models and algorithms and provide insights into system behavior under various conditions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate models and simulations into larger system architectures and participate in system testing and validation.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings, methodologies, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in modeling and simulation technologies and apply them to improve existing systems.
- Work closely with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to ensure alignment and integration of models with overall system design.
- BS degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, or an MS degree and 3 years, or a Ph.D. and 1 year.
- Proven experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar software. Experience with C/C++ or Python for algorithm development is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to cross‑functional projects.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Ability to work onsite full‑time in Woodland Hills, California.
