Electrical Engineer - PCB / Altium / KiCad (On-site)

This heavily funded early‑stage engineering startup in the South Bay area of Los Angeles (moving to Torrance soon) is looking to hire a full‑time permanent Electrical Engineer.

Backed by substantial recent venture capital, the team of 15 is solving global water scarcity. The company combines advanced environmental science with aerospace engineering rigor, developing portable, off‑grid hardware for disaster relief and remote living.

Base pay
: $100,000–165,000 per year, with significant equity.

• Own PCB Design
  : schematic capture, layout, component selection, and board bring‑up.
• Power Electronics
  : design and optimize DC/DC converters, motor drives, and battery management systems.
• Testing
  : validate designs and troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
• Scale
  : drive DFM/DFT activities for mass manufacturing.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience
  : 1+ years in PCB design.
• Tools
  :
  Proficiency in Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
• Technical Skills
  :
  Strong analog/digital circuit design and high‑current layout.
• Soft Skills
  :
  Collaborative mindset suited for a fast‑paced, tight‑knit team.

• Experience with battery‑powered consumer electronics.
• Knowledge of embedded firmware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Exposure to fluid‑handling systems.
• Background in aerospace or high‑reliability sectors.
