Akkodis AWS Cloud Enablement Engineer – Contract

Akkodis is seeking an AWS Cloud Enablement Engineer for a Contract with a client in Woodland Hills, CA
. You will design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS services and Infrastructure‑as‑Code automation.

$45/hour to $49/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using reusable components and best practices.
• Develop and deploy Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) modules for provisioning and managing AWS resources and Landing Zones.
• Implement and monitor cloud security controls (IAM, encryption, firewalls) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through rightsizing and cost‑saving strategies.
• Support migration and modernization initiatives, including re‑platforming and re‑architecting applications for cloud‑native environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years in cloud engineering, with at least 3 years focused on AWS cybersecurity and cloud‑native security services.
• Hands‑on experience in building and deploying Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) modules using tools such as Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation.
• Proven ability to provision, manage, and monitor security for AWS resources and Landing Zones, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
