Power Quality Qualification Engineer

Duration long term, more than 1 years

We are seeking a Power Quality Qualification Engineer with 5+ years of experience in aerospace electrical testing and compliance. The role involves qualification of avionics and aircraft electrical equipment in accordance with MIL-STD-704, RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-461, and Airbus Company Directive ABD
0100 G2 (Sections 1.8 and 1.2).

Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft power quality tests including surges, spikes, under voltage/overvoltage, frequency variations, power interruptions, ripple, and harmonics.
  • Conduct testing per ABD
    0100 G2 Section 1.8 (AC/DC electrical characteristics) and Section 1.2 (environmental conditions).
  • Work with 3 Phase, 115 VAC aircraft power systems including 400 Hz AC generation and distribution behaviors.
  • Set up and operate aircraft power simulators, 115 VAC 3-phase sources, transient generators, load banks, oscilloscopes, and analyzers.
  • Develop and execute qualification test plans and procedures for LRUs and electrical subsystems.
  • Analyze data, troubleshoot failures, and work with design teams to drive corrective actions.
  • Prepare qualification reports and support customer reviews, audits, and certification processes.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical or aerospace engineering.
  • 5+ years in aerospace qualification, aircraft electrical systems, or avionics testing.
  • Strong knowledge of DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and Airbus ABD
    0100 G2 Sections 1.2 and 1.8.
  • Hands‑on experience working with 3 Phase 115 VAC 400 Hz aircraft electrical systems and related test setups.
  • Proficiency with power quality analyzers, AC/DC aircraft power simulators, and advanced lab equipment.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
