Shift: 2nd Shift - 7% Shift Differential Pay

We are seeking a Senior Associate Process Engineer (2nd Shift) with a focus in Welding to join our Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA
.

At our Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area) facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, Sierra Nevada’s Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.

Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed
• Document best practices to support production
• Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware
• Accurately report problems, solutions, and results
• Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional

Skills:

• Practical knowledge of welding and general fabrication.
• Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW
• Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrink ages to fit TWJ post weld
• Experience with weld specifications
• Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications
• Moving large structures or hardware

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater

D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $72,000 - $133,000.
