Field Technician – Refined Technologies
OverviewRizon, a Refined Technologies company, is a specialty chemicals provider committed to innovation, performance, and operational excellence inside refineries and critical industrial operations. This role will serve as a technical advisor and performance advocate, ensuring that we deliver exceptional results that meet both internal standards and customer expectations. The position is based in Los Angeles.

- Oversee temporary injections (set‑up and chemical dosage)
- Field data monitoring and updating Rizon App
Required
- 2+ years of refining or chemical plant experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail and good record‑keeping habits
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or be on call as required by site demands
- Ability to work independently and follow technical instructions
Preferred
- Associate’s degree or technical certification
- Knowledge of chemical dosing systems
- Lab experience
- Pre‑employment physical required to confirm ability to meet physical demands
- Uneven or unstable ground; wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings
- Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other inclement weather
- Exposure to noise >85 dBA‑TWA
- Use of respiratory protection (half‑face, full‑face, or supplied air); medical clearance and fit testing required
- Work at heights up to 150 ft (45 m) accessed via stairs or ladders
- Lifting and carrying up to 40 lb without assistance; pushing or pulling up to 100 lb without assistance
- Standing and walking up to 12–16 hours daily with minimal breaks; may exceed 10,000–15,000 steps per day
- Bending, stooping, twisting, and using hand tools frequently
- Typically 12 continuous hours, may extend to 16–18 hours for emergent needs, for up to 14 days in a row
- Day shift and/or night shift
- Position is client‑site based with approximately 20% travel for training and internal meetings

- Hourly rate in California: $32.26–$43.61, contingent on experience, location, and responsibilities
