Computational Imaging Engineer

Mango is seeking a Computational Imaging Engineer to take technical ownership of our optical systems and imaging pipeline, working closely with the software, microbiology, and hardware teams. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of optics, imaging hardware, and computer vision, with significant opportunities for technical leadership as the company scales.

The ideal candidate has strong industry experience applying convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to image processing problems—preferably in domains like microscopy, biomedical imaging, or other high-complexity visual data systems. Additionally, candidates should have hands-on exposure to optical hardware, such as hyperspectral imaging systems, microscopy platforms, or custom imaging setups. Prior work with lensless or computational imaging systems is especially valuable.
